How to Play Strider Hiryuu
Quick start
Start the mission and practice running, jumping, and gripping a ledge in the opening area. Approach the first enemies within sword range while preserving space to retreat.
Controls
The direction pad moves Hiryu and directs climbing. One action button swings the sword and the other jumps. Hold toward a usable wall or ledge to climb; RUN pauses play.
Strider Hiryuu — About this game
Hiryu’s mission sends him through large side-scrolling environments where the route is often above, below, or around the obvious path. His blade reaches nearby enemies quickly, while acrobatic movement and climbing let him cross surfaces that would stop a conventional platform hero. The Arcade CD adaptation adds animated scenes, arranged music, and an optional desert mission to its version of the arcade adventure. Moving confidently is important, but a blind jump can turn a favorable position into a collision. Learn which edges can be gripped, attack before an enemy reaches Hiryu’s body, and watch the terrain as carefully as the targets.
