How to Play Super Mahjong Taikai
Quick start
Select the tournament mode and check the starting score conditions. Build a simple legal hand, then compare your progress with the opponents’ discards before calling tiles.
Controls
Use the direction pad to select tiles and commands. I confirms a discard or call, and II cancels an unconfirmed selection. Follow the table prompts for riichi and a winning declaration.
Super Mahjong Taikai — About this game
The tournament setting gives a series of mahjong hands a larger objective than winning one immediate exchange. Your score must hold up across changing draws and the decisions of other players, making defense a necessary part of the plan. Read the visible discards and decide whether your hand is close enough to justify further risk. Calls can produce a faster completion but may reduce scoring choices, while a concealed hand preserves alternatives at the cost of time. Begin with a clear, achievable pattern and avoid confusing a promising-looking collection of tiles with a legal winning hand. The safest improvement is often choosing a better discard.
