How to Play Dynasty Wars
Quick start
Choose a warrior, practice attacking to both sides in the opening battle, and keep the horse away from a crowd until you understand the attack’s reach.
Controls
Move the horse with the direction pad. The two action buttons attack to the left and right; hold an attack to prepare a stronger blow and release to strike. RUN pauses play.
Dynasty Wars — About this game
Four warriors from the manga’s Three Kingdoms setting ride through enemy-held battlefields. The action is fought from horseback, with troops approaching from either side and larger opponents demanding a different rhythm from ordinary soldiers. Directional attacks let you cover the side that poses the immediate threat, while stronger blows reward judging the opening rather than pressing indiscriminately. Keep room around the horse and avoid being surrounded by enemies arriving from both edges. The CD adaptation presents the arcade-style campaign with its own audiovisual treatment. Learn one warrior’s reach before changing characters, and clear the closest threat before riding into another formation.
