How to Play Valis II
Quick start
Start the opening stage and practice a short jump and sword attack separately. Learn the reach of the first enemies before combining movement with an attack.
Controls
Move and crouch with the direction pad. I jumps, II attacks with the sword, and RUN starts or pauses play. Time the sword strike before an enemy reaches Yuko.
Valis II — About this game
Yuko again takes up the Valis sword when a new threat rises over Vecanti. The PC Engine CD version retells the conflict through its own six-stage action campaign, with enemy layouts and progression that differ from the computer releases. Sword attacks and jumping carry the player through hazardous terrain toward the boss at the end of each stage. The practical challenge is learning when an enemy enters range and where a jump will land. Advance carefully through an unfamiliar screen, preserve health before a major encounter, and use the time between enemy waves to establish a safe position rather than rushing blindly forward.
