How to Play Valis IV
Quick start
Start the opening stage, learn Lena’s basic jump and attack, and practice changing characters once companions are available. Save special power for a threat that ordinary attacks handle poorly.
Controls
The direction pad moves and crouches. I jumps, II attacks, SELECT switches characters, and RUN pauses. Use the game’s directional combinations for character-specific movement and weapon-power attacks.
Valis IV — About this game
With Yuko now watching over Vecanti as a goddess, a new generation faces the danger released by Prince Galgear. Lena’s attempt to rescue Valna becomes a journey in which companions provide different combat and movement possibilities. Switching the active character is important when a route or enemy favors a particular ability. Stages combine platforms, close-range threats, and larger confrontations, while weapon power provides another resource to manage. Learn each companion in a safe stretch before making a difficult jump or spending special power. The PC Engine CD adventure follows its own three-character design and should be approached separately from the different Super Nintendo adaptation.
