Begin the first zoo mission, locate its exit and switch penguins to test the obstacle-specific ability. Bring the rest through the opened route.
Controls
Use the DS movement, jump and character-switch prompts in the opening mission. At an obstacle, select the suitable penguin and follow its context ability cue; read each mini-game’s own controls.

Stop Dr. Blowhole by switching the team’s abilities to open paths, build devices and rescue the zoo’s animals. Inspect an obstacle before choosing Rico’s explosives, Kowalski’s devices or Private’s narrow passage. A useful path may require more than one penguin, so check who can follow after the first action. Start with the opening mission and use its ability prompts before trying to rush the exit. Mini-games such as Mort Bowling provide separate activities with their own instructions. Rescue and route solving remain the main goals; the four characters are one player’s team.
