How to Play Phantasy Star 0
Quick start
Create a Hunter, equip a weapon and place useful actions on the palette. Enter the first mission, learn one enemy’s attack rhythm and return to town to compare the rewards.
Controls
Move with the DS D-pad and use the actions assigned to A, B and Y; hold R for the alternate palette. Check your own assignments before attacking or healing, and use the touch menus for equipment and the original communication interface.
Phantasy Star 0 — About this game
Create a character, choose suitable weapons and arrange the action palette before leaving town for a mission. Battles happen in real time: watch enemy attacks, manage distance and use a short combo or evasive move before committing to a longer action. Clearing groups opens the route through a mission, after which the town offers a chance to assess equipment and prepare again. Begin with a simple weapon and a few assigned shortcuts so healing is easy to find under pressure. Better drops are useful only when the character can equip them and their behaviour suits the encounter. Story play introduces the world, while the original DS also includes cooperative modes; do not assume every menu pauses danger.
