How to Play Phantasy Star Collection
Quick start
Press START, choose Phantasy Star I, II or III with Up/Down and press A. For a first visit choose Phantasy Star I: after Nero gives Alis his sword, speak with townspeople and use the command menu to inspect, equip and plan the journey against Lassic. Save regularly from the game’s command system and treat random battles as a reason to return for healing rather than pushing on with a weak party.
Controls
All three games use D-pad to move and navigate choices, A to talk, inspect or confirm, B to cancel and open the relevant command/update screen, and START to pause. In Phantasy Star I, B opens the Command Menu. In II, A opens Selection Boxes and B opens the Update Box. In III, D-pad cycles battle icons, A confirms/searches/opens chests and B opens the command screen.
