How to Play Pin Bot

Quick start

Press START, choose the number of players and press START again. Hold B to pull the plunger, then release to launch; vary the hold rather than always using full power. Use any D-pad direction for the left flipper and A for the right. First learn to return the ball safely, then aim at the grid targets. A brief START or SELECT nudge can alter a dangerous path, but repeated shaking risks a tilt.

Controls

Controller 1: any D-pad direction operates the left flipper; A operates the right; hold B to pull the plunger and release to shoot. START begins the game and nudges the table left during play; SELECT nudges right. Pause uses B on controller 2, not START on controller 1. While paused, controller 2’s D-pad selects music, speech or effects, A toggles the option and B resumes.

Pin Bot — About this game

Pin Bot brings the Williams table to NES with a talking robot, a solar-system theme and challenges that a physical machine could not provide. The scrolling playfield keeps the flippers visible in a separate view, helping you judge the ball’s return from the upper targets. Completing the light grid opens the visor: lock a ball in each eye to release both for multiball and doubled scoring. Locking one of those balls again creates a chance to collect the Solar Value at the ramp and advance the table’s level. Later play adds enemies that threaten the ball or flippers, so chasing points must be balanced against protecting your next shot.
