How to Play Pinball Advance
Quick start
From the title menu choose Tarantula, Jailbreak or Daredevil, then select a difficulty and a three- or five-ball game; five balls on the easiest setting gives the clearest first practice. Launch the ball and first concentrate on keeping it above the flippers while lighting complete groups of labelled targets. Tarantula leads into the spider's lair, Jailbreak builds an escape or trial sequence, and Daredevil uses the Wheel of Death and Loop of Fire. Follow the dot-matrix prompts when a feature or multiball becomes available, and nudge before the ball reaches an outlane rather than after it is already between the flippers.
Controls
Use the D-Pad to choose menus; during play, Left on the D-Pad operates the left flipper and A operates the right flipper. A also releases the plunger while the ball is in the launch lane. L and R nudge the table left and right, and pressing them together nudges upward. START pauses. The cited GBA material does not establish a normal in-play function for SELECT, so none is claimed. Repeated nudging can cost control, so use it sparingly.
