How to Play Pokemon Diamond
Quick start
Start a new game, set the current time and enter a name. Follow the opening events, talk with A and open the D-Shot using SELECT. In battle choose available commands and keep newly obtained numbers.
Controls
Directional pad moves Bek and cursor. A confirms, talks, lifts pots/barrels and advances text. B cancels or dashes on the field. SELECT opens D-Shot; START displays the field map or begins the game.

Winning may persuade an opponent to share a number; losing can remove a stored contact, so protect your roster rather than treating battles as disposable.
