How to Play Pokémon Puzzle Challenge
Quick start
Press START at the title and choose Training to learn the swaps. Move the cursor across a pair of blocks and press A to exchange them, making a horizontal or vertical line of three. Try Marathon after practising; raise the stack with B only when you have room.
Controls
Direction pad: move the cursor. A: swap the two selected blocks. B: raise the stack in normal play; undo in Puzzle mode. SELECT: request a hint in Puzzle mode. START: pause. Menus use A to confirm and B to return.
Pokémon Puzzle Challenge — About this game
Pokémon Puzzle Challenge combines rising-block puzzles with the Pokémon world of Gold and Silver on Game Boy Color. Move a two-block cursor and swap neighboring blocks to line up matching colors, clearing space before the stack reaches the top.
Clearing four or more blocks at once creates a combo; arranging falling blocks to clear again creates chains. Training teaches these techniques, while Challenge, Marathon and fixed-move puzzles put different demands on speed and planning.
