How to Play Power Soccer

Quick start

For single player, choose your team and formation and go to the match. First, don't lose sight of the player you are controlling, and once you have the ball, dribble toward the opponent's goal. Kick the ball with A, pass it to your teammate, then press B to switch control players. On defense, use A's sliding to stop the ball before it is carried deep into your own half.

Controls

Directional input: Move the player you are controlling. A: Kicking the ball, sliding during defense. B: Switch the player being controlled. Control does not always automatically transfer to the teammate closest to the ball, so be conscious of switching after passing.

Power Soccer — About this game

Tokuma Shoten's soccer game where you play on a vertically scrolling pitch viewed from above. With six players per team, the rules eliminate offside rules, allowing players to focus on attacking and defending the ball rather than focusing on minor fouls. Choose from seven teams and aim to win, and if you win five games, you will advance to the ending. In defense, one strategy is to slide to stop the opponent before they go deep into your own territory, and in attack, to break through by shifting the timing with the keeper's lateral movement. Just because your teammate is close to the ball doesn't mean the controls will automatically change, so you want to be aware of the switch and connect it to your next move.
