How to Play Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Quick start
Choose Start Game. The introduction is a safe place to learn the 2D platforming: jump right onto the rope, leap to the pillar, switch to its other side with Left+A and climb level with the metal rod. Jump to the rod, then press A as the Prince swings upward from the bottom to reach the right ledge and exit. The Prince collects the Dagger of Time next; hold B over fallen possessed soldiers to drain them before they revive.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right moves, Down crouches and Up/Down climbs; A jumps, and Down+A rolls or drops from ledges. B swings the scimitar; hold B over a defeated possessed soldier to drain its sand. Hold R with Left/Right to creep without turning. L uses the selected Sands of Time power. START opens status, inventory, map and system screens; SELECT switches between the Prince and Farah when the icon appears.
