How to Play Prince of Persia
Quick start
Press START, stand before the desired language doorway and press Up. Enter Training first to practise B’s careful step, A’s forward jump and grabbing with A or B near a ledge. The training sword does not carry into the main game. Begin the rescue after learning these moves, search for a sword and watch floor plates and spikes before running ahead.
Controls
Left/Right runs; B takes a careful step. Up jumps vertically or climbs; A jumps forward. Down crouches or lowers you from an edge; hold A or B to catch and hang, then Up to pull up. Crouch over objects to pick them up. In sword combat A attacks, B or Up blocks, and Down sheathes. SELECT pauses; START begins play or opens Options.
Prince of Persia — About this game
The Training door provides a place to learn movement before the rescue. In the main adventure, pressure plates open exits and potions can help or harm. Sword fights change the controls from platform movement to attacks and blocks. Level passwords retain the remaining time and health, so completing an area in good condition matters beyond the immediate escape.
