How to Play Pro Wrestling

Quick start

Press START at the title or demonstration to open selection. Use SELECT for one or two players, choose wrestlers with the D-pad, then press START to begin. Try B for a punch at close range, move into your opponent to grapple and use B for a body slam. After knocking an opponent down, stand nearby and press A to attempt a pin. Use the opening bouts to learn your wrestler's special moves.

Controls

D-pad: move in eight directions; tap a direction twice to run and press the opposite direction to stop. Near a standing opponent, B punches and A performs a strike that can depend on the wrestler. In a grapple, B performs a body slam. Beside a downed opponent, A attempts a pin and B lifts them up. A or B resists a pin. At an upper ring corner, Up climbs the ropes and Down gets off. Controller 1 SELECT chooses the player mode; START opens selection, starts the bout and pauses/resumes play.

Pro Wrestling — About this game

Pro Wrestling turns each bout into a contest of positioning, timing and wrestler-specific techniques. Move around the ring to strike, close in for a grapple or build momentum for a running attack. A fallen opponent can be pinned or hauled back up for another throw, while the corner ropes offer riskier aerial attacks. The one-player game starts with a climb through the rankings and continues into championship defence. Two players instead face each other in a best-of-three-falls match. Leaving the ring does not stop the action: the referee counts you out if you stay outside too long.
