How to Play Puzzle Boys
Quick start
Start with the lower rank puzzles and check the location of exits, stones, holes, and Kururin doors before moving. Use the cross keys to move one square at a time, and touch the stone or door from the front to push it. You can't pull the stone, so make sure you can get around to the other side before pushing it to the wall. The stones to fill in the holes are also selected by counting backwards from the final path needed. When there are multiple characters, use SELECT to switch control roles, and instead of sending only one person to the exit first, secure the working positions of the remaining companions before letting everyone escape.
Controls
D-pad: Move the character up, down, left, and right one square at a time. If you touch a movable stone or Kururin door and press in the same direction, you will push that device. SELECT: Switch allies on a floor with multiple characters. Although there is an undo function, the documents I have been able to confirm do not specify an assigned button, so I will not speculate here.
Puzzle Boys — About this game
"Puzzle Boys" is a thinking puzzle developed from "Puzzle Boy" for Game Boy and is exclusively for FDS rewriting. 20 floors each for 4 ranks, 80 levels in total. Guide all characters placed to the exit by solving tricks such as pushing stones, dropping them into holes to create passages, and turning Kururin doors that change direction every time you touch them. It is important to count the steps backwards from the exit side, as you cannot pull the stone and once it is dropped into the hole, it cannot be returned. In terms of multiple characters, switch the control roles and leave a route that everyone can take. In addition to the regular problem set, it also includes a single-player trial where you compete for time by solving multiple questions in a row, and a two-player competition. You can aim to conquer all the questions little by little while using the undo function and save function.
