How to Play Puzzle Chronicles
Quick start
Choose Single Player and enter Story. In the opening battles, rotate the incoming trio and place it to build connected colours. Try making a four-gem square, then connect a Battle Gem of the same colour to clear the group. Include skulls when possible to build Rage, watch the centre bar and review items and Warbeast abilities in Inventory after earning rewards.
Controls
Tap the moving gem trio to rotate it and drag it to adjust its position; the D-pad also moves gems left or right. Press A to drop the group. Tap the special icons along the top of the puzzle board to trigger available special attacks. In Inventory, select items and Warbeast abilities to equip; use the map's Toolbelt for inventory, quests, world map and village shortcuts.
Puzzle Chronicles — About this game
Combat is a struggle for room on a shared puzzle board. Groups of three gems enter from the side; you rotate and position them to build useful coloured areas. Four matching gems in a square form a Power Gem, while a crossed-swords Battle Gem destroys the connected group of its colour and releases the attached pieces' effects. Skull gems add Rage, and a full meter makes your hero attack and push the centre bar towards the opponent. Victory comes when the rival has no room left for incoming gems. Coloured power also supports equipped Warbeast abilities, linking board choices to the loadout prepared outside battle. Story rewards provide gold and experience for development, while the inventory holds items, skills, Warbeast abilities and companions. Plan how each coloured area will be cleared so the incoming groups do not use up your side of the board.
