How to Play Puzzle Kingdoms
Quick start
Create a warlord by choosing gender and name, then follow the opening campaign task into battle. Check your troops' colour requirements and slide a row or column to make connected matches. When a unit is ready, tap Attack; try combining ready units once you understand the bonus. Recruit from captured locations and use Save and Quit when ending a session.
Controls
Use the stylus to slide an entire row horizontally or a column vertically; watch the edge symbols that show incoming blocks. Make connected groups of three or more matching colours. Tap the attack button when troops are charged, and use the map and army menus to select locations and recruits. Save and Quit is the DS campaign's save option; saving also leaves the current session.
Puzzle Kingdoms — About this game
Your warlord advances across a fantasy map, gathering heroes and recruiting units from conquered towns and castles. The fighting happens through a colour board, but each match supports an army rather than just filling one character's spell meter. You slide a whole row or column, bringing the next symbol in from the edge and forming groups of at least three connected matching blocks. The group can bend instead of forming a straight line. Matching colours fills the requirements of particular troops; when ready, they can attack. Saving several charged units for a combined strike earns a bonus, but waiting also leaves them exposed to enemy attacks. Heroes develop as you win, and new forces change which colours are valuable. The opening challenge is to understand the needs of the troops you brought, then choose board shifts that support them and deny easy matches to the rival.
