Crossword Mate brings magazine-style Japanese word puzzles to the DS. Choose among three difficulty levels and begin with a normal grid before the much larger Jumbo Cross. Some puzzles use rearranged words or picture clues, so read the puzzle type before interpreting a hint. Completed puzzles supply pieces for illustration rewards. Use intersecting answers to test a word instead of forcing an uncertain guess into every cell. The settings also offer right- and left-handed layouts, changing interface positions and button assignments.
