Oekaki Mate is a picture-logic puzzle collection, not a free drawing canvas. Row and column clues describe runs of filled squares; compare them to determine which cells belong to the picture. Start with an easy small board and mark clue numbers as their runs are completed. Large puzzles can scroll, and the hold-input system keeps the original reference point while you count. Colour puzzles add another kind of picture deduction. Finishing boards supplies illustration fragments, giving a separate collection goal beyond the picture in each grid.
