How to Play Puzzle Quest: Galactrix
Quick start
Create a pilot and follow the flight lesson. At Erebus Sigma Station, take Test Flight, visit the marked planet Erebus II and return to the station. Continue the early pirate missions and read the first battle tutorial. Swap neighbouring hexes to make a straight line of at least three; use mines for damage, blue gems for shields and collected energy for your equipped systems.
Controls
DS: touch a destination on the space map to travel and open its available actions. Touch a gem and slide it toward an adjacent hex to swap; tap an available equipment icon to activate that system. R exchanges the battle board and ship-information displays. Read the refill direction before making the next move, since pieces do not always settle downward.
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix — About this game
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix moves the series into space and replaces the square battle grid with hexagonal pieces. A gem can swap with a neighbour in six directions, and cleared spaces refill according to the direction of the move, making the resulting cascade part of every decision. Ship battles use mines for direct attacks, coloured energy to activate equipment and blue matches to replenish shields before damage reaches the hull. Beyond combat, you visit stations and planets, improve ships and solve matching challenges for mining or opening leap gates. The changing board and ship loadout matter together: a powerful device still needs the right energy and a turn in which to use it.
