How to Play Q*bert
Quick start
Choose a mode, character and control method. Test all four safe jumps near the top, inspect the target color and start clearing a small route. In Adventure, note remaining cubes before moving to another screen.
Controls
Standard: Up hops up-right, Down down-left, Left up-left, Right down-right. The alternate setting uses matching diagonal D-pad combinations. START pauses; SELECT moves the status area. Menus use A to confirm.
Q*bert — About this game
Learn the selected control method before approaching an edge. On later stages a cube may need more than one landing to reach its target, so look at the color indicator instead of assuming a single visit is enough. In Adventure, compare the current-screen and total remaining counts before taking a warp. Pause to record the displayed password when you want to continue later.
