How to Play Rackets & Rivals
Quick start
Visit Player Entry to set up your competitor, then choose Training. Select a court, your side and the practice return pattern. Move into position with the direction pad, serve with A, and return using A or B. Try Free Play when you want a scored match.
Controls
Direction pad: move your player. A: serve or hit the ball. B: hit the ball. START: pause. SELECT is unused.
Rackets & Rivals — About this game
Rackets & Rivals offers a tennis career alongside configurable matches and score-free practice. Tournament opponents become more capable as you move beyond school-level competition towards higher events. Player Entry lets you personalise a competitor, choose a playing hand and assistance setting, and distribute ability points across serving, shot power, volleying, stroke play and footwork. Clay, hard and lawn courts provide different settings for a match. Training is a useful starting point because you can choose your side and where the practice opponent sends the ball before committing to scored competition.
