How to Play Radiant Historia
Quick start
Begin in Alistel and follow the meeting with Heiss, who gives Stocke the White Chronicle. Join Raynie and Marco and leave for the escort mission in Lazvil Hills. Learn commands during the first battles and follow the initial setback into Historia. When the tutorial returns you to the forest route, inspect the southern barricade and follow the newly unlocked instructions to move it. Time travel is introduced through these events.
Controls
DS controls: D-pad moves and selects; A interacts, advances dialogue and confirms; B cancels, and holding it while exploring makes Stocke walk. X opens the field menu and fast-forwards event dialogue; Y uses Strike on the field. In battle, select a command and target with D-pad/A, cancel with B; X changes help/condition information and Y toggles auto battle. Later field skills require their story unlocks.
Radiant Historia — About this game
Radiant Historia gives Stocke a way to revisit decisive moments through the White Chronicle. Its two histories are connected: information or progress in one can reveal a solution in the other, making a failed outcome something to investigate rather than simply abandon. Turn-based combat has its own puzzle. Enemies occupy a three-by-three grid, and skills can push them together so a following attack catches several targets. Rearranging turn order helps build these combinations, but waiting also gives enemies an opportunity. This original DS adventure links careful battle planning with exploration and a story built around changing consequences.
