How to Play Rango
Quick start
Follow the first map marker and learn the opening movement and attack prompts. When another outfit becomes available, switch roles and test its environmental ability at a suitable obstacle.
Controls
Follow the DS movement and action prompts. Hold L and press a D-pad direction to select an available outfit; choose its ability for the obstacle, then watch the upper map for the next destination.
Rango — About this game
The DS Rango continues the chameleon's life as sheriff of Dirt in a top-down desert adventure. Follow the marked destination on the upper map, talk to townsfolk and handle enemies and small environmental puzzles along the way. Four outfits give different abilities: the Duelist crosses short gaps, the Excavator moves blockades and digs, and the Sheriff uses special golden bullets on certain switches. Hold L and choose a direction to switch roles once they are available. Treasure and defeated enemies supply money and badges that improve abilities such as power or speed. Begin by learning the opening route before spending upgrades, then return to an obstacle with the role it needs.
