How to Play Ratatouille
Quick start
Press START at the title screen and choose START for a new game; PASSWORD resumes an earlier session. Remy begins by exploring Mabel's Farmhouse. Search the level for its special ingredient, use R to switch Scent Vision on when the route or a hidden object is unclear, and collect timer boosts while crossing side-scrolling rooms because their clock must not expire. Use Up or Down at holes that act as portals between areas. After five ingredients have been collected, the cooking challenge asks you to place each ingredient in the pot showing its icon, manage the low, medium and high burners, and press Down to plate the finished dish in the green temperature zone.
Controls
Top-down play: D-pad walks, L+D-pad runs, R switches Scent Vision on or off, A picks up or uses a tool and pushes or pulls, B drops the tool, and START pauses. Cooking: D-pad moves among ingredients and pots or matches the falling garnish pattern; A picks up/drops ingredients and pots or activates a choice, B deactivates/cancels, Down plates a finished pot, and START pauses. Menus use D-pad, A confirm and B back.
