How to Play Real Soccer 2009
Quick start
Enter training, practise the button scheme and tap the icon to try touch control. Draw one pass, try a shot and vary the hold time before starting a short match or competition.
Controls
D-pad moves in either scheme. In touch mode, draw toward a teammate to pass, tap for a shot and curve the line for a lob; hold after the gesture to add power. Follow training for advanced moves.
Real Soccer 2009 — About this game
Real Soccer 2009 expands the DS touch controls from set pieces into open play. Tap the touch-control icon during a match: the D-pad still moves the player, while a line sends a pass, a screen tap shoots and a curved stroke produces a lob. Holding the stylus after the gesture adjusts its strength. The traditional button scheme remains available, so begin in training and compare the two before choosing a cup or league. Learn a short pass and measured shot before trying feints and one-twos. Teams use altered club names while the players have their real names in this edition. Local wireless supports original-console play; the boxed DS game does not add the DSiWare version's camera customization.
