How to Play Phantom Fighter
Quick start
Open the title menu with START, A, or B and choose なまえ とうろく to begin with a name. Walk to a building, inspect it with A or B, then press Up to enter. Keep an enemy at kicking distance with A and retreat between exchanges. Visit the residents after winning, take scrolls to the dojo, and seek three jade pieces. Choose どうしの こころ when returning with a password.
Controls
Left/Right: walk. Outdoors, A or B inspects a building and Up enters. In combat, Up jumps, Down crouches, A kicks, and B punches. B uses an equipped item instead of the ordinary punch. Approach the pupil at an exit and choose どうぐをつかう to change equipment.
Phantom Fighter — About this game
Reigen Doushi mixes building-by-building exploration with measured martial-arts fights. Outside, you can inspect doors and choose where to enter without fighting enemies in the street. Indoors, hopping kyonshi demand careful spacing: a well-timed kick is safer than letting a large enemy close the gap. Defeating the occupants opens the way to residents who provide supplies or information. Ancient scrolls pay for training, while temples offer a valuable opportunity to recover. Collecting three jade pieces opens the boss's building. The Japanese game uses its own name-entry and password menus rather than the American NEW GAME presentation.
