How to Play Retro Atari Classics
Quick start
Use the on-screen left and right arrows to browse the collection and select Breakout. Choose the visual presentation you want and follow the game's start prompt. Once the ball is in play, move the paddle with the stylus so the rebound sends it back toward the bricks. Keep the paddle under the returning ball and continue clearing the wall.
Controls
Menus use touch selection, including left/right game-browser arrows. Breakout lets the stylus control the paddle directly. Other games have different touch or physical-button controls; check the chosen game's instructions before switching. The graffiti remix changes the presentation, while these instructions describe the DS Breakout paddle action.
Retro Atari Classics — About this game
Retro Atari Classics adapts ten Atari games for Nintendo DS, including Pong, Breakout, Missile Command and Asteroids. You can choose familiar-looking graphics or a remix presentation created by graffiti artists, giving the same selection a very different appearance. The games have been rebuilt for DS, with touch controls suited to individual activities. Breakout is a direct example: move the paddle with the stylus to return the ball and break the wall above. Switching to another game means learning its own movement and aiming system, while another attempt offers a chance to improve your score.
