How to Play Road Fighter
Quick start
Use SELECT to bring up level selection, pick LEVEL 1, and press START. Hold B to get moving, then switch to A when there is room to go faster. Keep small gaps available on either side and watch for bonus cars to refill fuel. Correct a leftward tilt by steering right, or a rightward tilt by steering left, before the car reaches the roadside.
Controls
Left/Right steers. Holding B accelerates in low gear; holding A accelerates in high gear. Let go of both to reduce speed. SELECT changes the selected difficulty, and START starts or pauses/resumes play. At the beginning of a skid, steer against the car's tilt to regain control.
Road Fighter — About this game
In Road Fighter, reaching the next checkpoint depends on making the most of a limited fuel supply. You steer through everyday traffic from an overhead view, progressing through residential roads, a bridge, the coast, and a mountain route. Build speed in low gear before using high gear on an open stretch. Other vehicles and oil can start a skid, and hitting a lorry or the roadside can cost a run valuable fuel. Look for the unusual bonus car: touching it provides a refill rather than the usual collision penalty. The harder level fills the road with more troublesome traffic, so learning when to lift off is as important as accelerating.
