How to Play Mega Man Xtreme 2
Quick start
At the title screen press START, choose X MISSION or ZERO MISSION and confirm with A. Use the opening area to learn your hunter’s range: X shoots, while Zero must get close to slash. Practise Down+A dashes on safe ground. At stage selection, choose a route and collect Souls rather than rushing straight past every enemy.
Controls
D-pad: move and climb ladders. A: jump. B: attack—X fires and can charge under ordinary settings; Zero swings his saber. Down+A or a double-tap in one horizontal direction: dash. START pauses and opens the menu. SELECT changes X’s weapon or switches hunters according to Options; switching requires a mode where both are available.
Mega Man Xtreme 2 — About this game
Choose a mission, tackle its boss stages and search for life and armour upgrades along the way. X and Zero have different attacks and equipment, so a familiar obstacle can call for a different approach. Progress through the missions unlocks the broader Extreme challenge. Memory Devices preserve mid-stage progress, and Iris turns collected Souls into useful parts.
