How to Play Rooms: The Main Building
Quick start
Follow Mr. Book's opening lesson. Walk into a connected room, slide that occupied section toward the empty space and plan the next doorway on the way to the exit.
Controls
Use touch-screen selections and the displayed movement or slide prompts. Walk between connected rooms before shifting the occupied tile; select telephones, pumps or other items when their puzzle instructions introduce them.
Rooms: The Main Building — About this game
Mr. Book introduces a mansion where the rooms themselves are sliding puzzle pieces. You can move a section only while your character stands in it, so walking through connected doors and shifting the current room must work together. Start by finding the exit and checking which neighboring doorway can actually be reached. Telephones can move you between rooms, explosives remove certain walls and pumps change water arrangements, giving later puzzles more than one kind of connection to consider. The background image offers another arrangement goal, but first make a traversable route. Moving an attractive tile into place is no help if it strands your character.
