How to Play Roundball: 2 on 2 Challenge

Quick start

Press START to open the main menu. Choose an option with Up/Down, press Right to enter its choices and confirm with A. For a first game, select Exhibition and a one-player two-on-two match. Press START to reach the roster; use Up/Down and A to pick players, or START to accept the defaults. At the opening shoot-out, hold A to jump and release it near the top to shoot. Pass with B during play. After gaining possession from the other team, take the ball beyond the top of the key before attacking the basket.

Controls

D-pad: move or navigate menus. A: hold and release at the top of a jump to shoot; near the basket, attempt a layup; on defence, tap near the ball to steal or hold to challenge a shot. B: pass or request a return pass; on defence, switch coverage. In two-on-two play, hold A then press B while airborne for a jump pass. SELECT plus a direction calls a preset play when in possession. START: begin/pause/resume; SELECT while paused toggles music.

Roundball: 2 on 2 Challenge — About this game

Roundball: 2-on-2 Challenge puts a small team and a single basket at the centre of its basketball action. You can play one-on-one, or add a teammate for passing, defensive switches and preset plays. Exhibition games let you pick from 24 players with different shooting and defensive statistics, while Tournament mode uses paired teams across three rounds. Before a game, you can adjust quarter length, stealing difficulty and possession rules. When the opponent loses the ball, you must take it back beyond the top of the key before shooting. Learning that clearance rule and releasing a jump shot at the right moment matters more than simply holding the fire button.
