How to Play Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon
Quick start
Follow Shara’s tour of the Sharance Tree and save when prompted. In the field tutorial, equip the hoe for the first monster encounter, then choose a weapon when Gaius offers one. Continue Shara’s lessons in clearing, tilling and sowing Toyherb Seeds before taking village requests.
Controls
D-Pad: move. A: talk, examine, pick up or place items. B: use equipped tool or weapon. X/Y: assigned magic or Rune Abilities. L: shortcut menu. Hold R while moving: walk. START: camp menu. SELECT in menus: sort items. Touch the field or icons for movement and menu actions.

Micah wakes without his memory and finds a home inside the Sharance Tree, where Shara introduces him to farming. Daily life mixes crops, village requests and friendships with real-time trips into monster-filled dungeons. The same RP reserve supports fieldwork and fighting, so preparing food and choosing when to return home are part of the routine. Micah’s ability to take a golden Wooly form links the story to the divide between humans and monsters. Crafting, better equipment and relationships give discoveries from each part of the day a use elsewhere in the adventure.
