How to Play Sanma no Meitantei
Quick start
When entering a name, use the arrow keys to select a character and press A to confirm. Select "End" and press A to begin the investigation. First, let's hear from the client, Ayako Yoshimoto. Go to the map using "Move", select A in front of your destination, select the person you want to call, and check each item under "Listen". Examine the items you obtained as "evidence" and show them to the people involved.
Controls
Directional keys: Select commands/characters, move on maps and tracking. A: Confirm, Show continued conversation, Enter destination. B: Cancel, return to previous command. When you select ``Sota'' as the target of ``investigation'', use the arrow keys to move the crab-shaped cursor and press A to investigate the location. For the restart password, use the arrow keys to select a character, press A to enter it, and press B to return to the input position.
Sanma no Meitantei — About this game
The player instructs the detective, Sanma, to solve the incident that occurred at the Yoshimoto family's party. The basics of an investigation are to call the people involved, ask them questions, investigate areas of interest in the room, show them the items they found, and elicit their testimonies. New information will increase the number of places you can go, and other people may appear in places you've already visited. Don't get distracted by the laughter of the conversation, and proceed by sorting out the relationships between the characters and their alibis. Actions such as tracking are also available. If you use the notepad you get along the way, you can remember the password for restarting.
