Press START, choose a difficulty and play the opening tutorial stages before entering the main route. The tutorial introduces movement, jumping and enemy weak points. Your continuing goal is to cross 36 stages in 12 worlds and deliver presents to the waiting children. Jump on gift boxes to release stars, then spend those stars carefully on fairy powers such as the double jump, enemy paralysis and recovery. Touch the Christmas-tree checkpoints as you pass them so progress is recorded, and crouch under incoming snowballs instead of trying to force every encounter.

D-pad moves left and right, aims movement in the air and presses Down to crouch. A confirms menu choices and jumps; press it again when the double-jump fairy power is available to jump in mid-air. B performs the current secondary action, including using or delivering the context-sensitive present/power shown by the tutorial. START pauses. The game introduces any stage-specific action with an on-screen tutorial prompt; no separate emulator keyboard mapping is required.
