Ash, Brock, May and Max are approached by Team Rocket in disguise and told to gather Pokémon for the Pokémon Stage. Their collecting journey becomes a writing lesson: correctly drawing five kana earns a Pokémon. Both hiragana and katakana are part of the learning focus, connecting letter practice to a familiar anime cast. The Japanese release includes voices from the animated series and an instrumental version of Advance Adventure on its title screen. This Pico title rewards careful letter formation with new Pokémon companions, making writing the central activity of the adventure.
