Challenge Derby — About this game
A field of eight horses turns each race into a prediction contest. Challenge Derby follows a large racing programme, with 256 horses and 48 races advertised on the original box, including the Tsukuda prize, Satsuki prize and Derby. Players make their choices before watching the runners compete; the attraction is comparing results and managing the next wager, rather than steering a horse around the track. The original game accommodates up to eight participants taking their turns at the selection screens.
