How to Play Champion Baseball
Quick start
Choose one or two players and begin the opening batting turn. Move into line with the pitch and press button 1 as the ball reaches the bat; on defense, prepare the throw after a fielder collects it.
Controls
The directional control adjusts the batter or pitcher and selects a base for a throw. Button 1 swings or pitches according to the current phase; fielders retrieve the ball automatically.
Champion Baseball — About this game
Pitching and batting appear in a close-up panel beside the overhead field. Champion Baseball alternates the two roles through a match against the computer or another player, with no long team-management setup. Adjust the batter's position and time the swing, then watch the fielders retrieve the ball and choose where to send it. A ball put into play is only the beginning: getting a runner safely to the next base matters as much as making contact.
