How to Play Champion Tennis
Quick start
Start from controller 1 for a solo match or controller 2 for two players. Use the action button to start the point, then move into the returning ball instead of pressing for every stroke.
Controls
Directions move the player in eight directions. Ordinary returns happen automatically on contact; the stroke button starts the service exchange and enables lobs near the net or drop shots from the back, according to both players' positions.
Champion Tennis — About this game
Positioning does most of the work in this singles tennis game. Move into the ball's path and your player returns it automatically, leaving you to cover the court and choose useful angles. The action button adds a tactical change: with both players near the net it produces a lob, while a rally from the back of the court can turn into a short drop shot. One player faces the computer or two players share a match. The first to six games wins the set, with deuce and advantage deciding tightly contested games.
