How to Play Brutal: Paws of Fury
Quick start
Choose a fighter and a single-player contest. Test the basic punches and kicks at a safe distance, then practise defence against the first opponent. Use the character’s displayed move information to add techniques gradually.
Controls
D-pad: move and jump; down with left/right: block. With a 3-button pad, START switches punches/kicks; A/B/C deliver light/medium/heavy blows. With a 6-button pad, A/B/C are light/medium/heavy kicks and X/Y/Z punches; START pauses. Button plus toward/away changes the attack.

Brutal: Paws of Fury builds its bouts around fighters with distinct styles, reach and techniques, so learning one contestant is more useful than pressing attacks at random. The cartoon cast disguises a match that still depends on blocking, movement and choosing an opening. Keep some distance after a missed strike and observe how an opponent approaches before committing to another attack.
