How to Play Dragon's Lair
Quick start
Press Start to leave the demonstration and begin. On the drawbridge, press B as the purple tentacles approach, then press Up to climb out. If the move fails, adjust its timing instead of repeating rapid inputs.
Controls
D-pad: choose the direction of Dirk's reaction. B: use the sword. Start: begin or pause; press it during the continue countdown to resume the current group of scenes.
Dragon's Lair — About this game
Dirk the Daring enters a deadly castle to rescue Princess Daphne from the dragon Singe. Each animated scene presents a short sequence of decisions: escape in the right direction or draw the sword before a creature strikes. You guide Dirk's reactions rather than move him freely through the castle. A correct action can still fail when its timing is wrong, so watch the animation and adjust the moment of your next attempt. Some scenes need several inputs, and a successful action may only become visible once the current animation ends. When every life is lost, the countdown offers a chance to continue from the current group of scenes.
