Quick start
Begin the first expedition and practise walking, crouching and jumping before approaching a trap. Test the whip’s reach against an isolated enemy and look for a safe landing beyond the next obstacle.

Earnest Evans — About this game
Earnest Evans uses a whip and an unusually flexible, jointed character to explore ruins and hazardous terrain. His search for ancient idols moves between enemies, traps and awkward passages, making body position part of the challenge. A whip strike can reach beyond a close punch, but a poorly placed landing can still leave Earnest vulnerable. The Mega-CD version includes animated story sequences connecting the expeditions; treat the movement as something to learn gradually before rushing into the next trap.
