Quick start
Select a fighter and begin a single-player contest. Test short attacks, jumping and guarding at a safe distance before attempting special moves.
Controls
Six-button pad: ↑: jump; ↓: crouch; A/B/C: kick; X/Y/Z: punch; Start: pause/resume. Three-button pad: A/B/C: kick; Start: switch between punches and kicks; Start+A+B+C: pause; Start resumes.

Fighters whose lives ended unjustly are summoned from different eras to compete for another chance. Each combatant brings a distinct fighting style, turning the contest into a matter of spacing, defence and well-timed combinations. The CD game expands the Eternal Champions setting and surrounds its one-on-one bouts with elaborate arenas. Learn a character's reach before attempting complicated attacks; careless aggression leaves openings for a counterattack. Victory means surviving successive opponents rather than merely landing one dramatic move.
