Mortal Kombat — About this game

Mortal Kombat pits distinctive fighters against one another in rounds decided by movement, strikes and defence. Basic punches and kicks establish range, while each fighter's special commands offer different ways to threaten an opponent. Jumping blindly or repeating a missed attack can invite a counter. After winning the deciding round, the game can offer a brief finishing-move opportunity. This Sega CD adaptation retains the original tournament's characters and graphic presentation, with controller layout affecting how the separate attack and block actions are reached.
