How to Play Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
Quick start
Start the first jungle stage and practise a short jump before attempting a wide gap. Face enemies before attacking and pause at the edge of a new drop to inspect the landing. Collect useful items along a safe route rather than chasing one into danger.
Controls
Use the D-pad to run and position Harry. Use the jump control to clear gaps and reach ledges, and the attack or item control to use his available equipment. Directional input also handles climbing where the scenery allows it.

Pitfall Harry Jr. follows his father's trail through a colourful jungle adventure built around running, climbing and carefully judged jumps. Waterfalls, ruined structures and abandoned mines change the shape of the journey, while creatures and environmental traps interrupt the route. Harry's equipment, including his returning weapon, provides ways to deal with enemies without abandoning the platforming rhythm. Exploring the terrain and choosing a safe take-off point are as important as attacking whatever crosses the path.
