How to Play Prince of Persia
Quick start
Start in the dungeon and practise walking to an edge, jumping and catching a ledge. Test a suspicious floor from a safe position. When a guard appears, establish distance before exchanging sword blows.
Controls
D-pad left/right runs; up jumps, climbs or guards; down crouches or descends a ledge. A or C attacks with the sword or picks up an item. B handles climbing and parrying; press it during a run for a long jump. Start pauses and opens Options.
Prince of Persia — About this game
Prince of Persia turns escape through a hostile palace into a sequence of precise physical decisions. The prince runs, jumps, climbs and draws a sword, but momentum and the width of a ledge make reckless movement costly. Guards demand measured duelling, while spikes, collapsing floors and gates test observation. The Sega CD adaptation keeps that focus on animation-led movement and learning the layout of a room before committing to a difficult crossing.
