How to Play Prize Fighter
Quick start
Disc 2 can start the game directly and contains the bouts against T. Rex Hawkins and Nuke “The Duke” Johnson. Choose one of these opponents and practise blocking before a short counterattack. If you select an opponent on the other disc, insert it when prompted and press Start.
Controls
Use the directional and action inputs assigned to guarding and punches. Match the height of your defence to the incoming blow, then use the appropriate punch when an opening appears. Start pauses the bout.
Prize Fighter — About this game
Prize Fighter presents boxing through live-action opponents rather than freely moving polygonal fighters. As The Kid, you face a succession of distinctive boxers, watching their movement for a safe moment to attack and guarding against their replies. The bouts demand timing and recognition of an opponent's habits more than constant button pressing. Its two-disc presentation frames the matches as a boxing story, with each encounter asking you to learn a new rhythm under pressure.
