How to Play Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective
Quick start
Choose a case and watch its introduction. Read the available reference material, identify one relevant contact and visit that person. Record names and contradictions, then follow a new lead only when you can explain why it matters.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move through people, places and reference menus. Confirm to visit or open an entry, advance filmed dialogue with its playback controls and use the return command to review another source of evidence.
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective — About this game
Consulting Detective places Holmes and Watson's investigations in a format built around filmed interviews and reference material. You choose leads, visit people and compare their statements rather than steering a detective through platforming rooms. A newspaper, directory and case information help turn names into useful destinations. The challenge is to explain the crime with the evidence you have gathered, while avoiding unnecessary detours that add little to the investigation.
